Mr. Charles Herder is a principal shareholder and Co-Chairman of Colliers International in Houston, sitting on the Board of Directors and serving on the Governance Committee. He also serves on the Colliers International Board of Advisors, providing governance and leadership to Colliers nationwide.
Through out his career Mr. Herder has assisted a broad range of clients in real estate to help meet their goals using his combined experience in engineering and financial analysis that spans over 35 years. He has completed major assignments in the fields of office leasing, industrial sales/leases, and investment sales. Charles now takes selective consulting assignments and advisory rolls. He most recently has been involved in major investment sales involving complex structures and subtle negotiations, adding substantial value for his clients.
As a professional affiliate Mr. Herder is a licensed commercial real estate broker in the State of Texas, and a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR). He is the past President of the Houston Gulf Coast Chapter and is a current member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP). Mr. Herder is the previous Industrial Broker of the Year and one-time finalist for the Landmark Award for work in the redevelopment of Cooper Cameron industrial complex for commercial and multi-family residential uses. Presently he is the consistent Colliers International Top Revenue Producer.
Mr. Herder is very involved in community leadership and is the former Chairman of the Board of the George Foundation; the Former Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Memorial Hermann Foundation; a member of the Board of Directors of Kinkaid Investments Foundation; a member of the Texas Children's Hospital West Campus Advisory Council; a past Board of Trustees member to Faith in Practice; a member of the Board of Advisors to Houston Wilderness; a member of the Governing Council of Shepherd School of Music; a National Chairman of MIT Parents Fund (2008); a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC); a past advisor of the Texas A&M Development Foundation and the United Methodist Foundation; the past President of the Houston Marketing Network division of the Greater Houston Partnership; a member of the Community Foundation Council of the Greater Houston Community Foundation; a member of River Oaks Country Club, Houston and Roaring Fork Club, Colorado.
As a scholar, Mr. Herder has received a MBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin, graduating first in the MBA class, and his BS degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University with Honors.
